Foster carers for children aged 5-16 years ready to move from residential children's home to a family-based foster home
Did You Know?
In the UK, most children in care are placed in foster homes (which is when a child or children live within a family home with foster carers). However, some children live in residential children's homes which are staffed and could be caring for anywhere from 4 - 20 children in the one residence.
Sadly many children aged 5 to 16 (yes, including primary aged children) are living in children's homes, not because they need to be there, but because there aren't enough foster carers to provide them with the safe and loving family environment they need.
We Need Your Help
The availability of foster families in the UK has reached a crisis level. As a result, children are missing out on the care, support, and opportunities that only a nurturing family can provide.
Make a Difference
If you believe every child deserves better than life in an institution, now is the time to act. Become a foster carer and transform a child's life.
