Forklift Driver
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift to move, stack, and retrieve materials
- Load and unload trucks or containers using a forklift
- Perform basic mathematical calculations to ensure accurate inventory counts
- Inspect and maintain the forklift equipment, reporting any issues or malfunctions
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or similar environment
- Strong knowledge of materials handling procedures
- Ability to safely operate a forklift and navigate through narrow aisles and tight spaces
- Proficient in using management systems to track inventory and shipments
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with the job
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and follow instructions accurately
A valid forklift certification will be required for this position.
