Job Description

We're looking for a dynamic and experienced football coach who is willing to share their knowledge, passion and enthusiasm with our student athletes. The football coach is a vital part of our team since they have the primary responsibility for providing technical skills and long-term guidance to our students. They also work together with the head coach to develop training plans, and maintains communication with the athletic director to ensure that the football program is running smoothly.

Responsibilities

Remain calm and composed during stressful events. Motivate athletes to achieve optimum performance levels. Demonstrate proper technique and explain movements. Maintain a positive attitude and encourage players in various situations. Plan training sessions. Ensure training sessions are planned in advance and ready to deliver in a suitable fashion Arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of training so that you have time to setup the training session and equipment you may use. Monitor player growth and progression. Help pack/lock up equipment after training sessions.

Working Hours

Training session for our training only group every Monday between 6-7pm at Reading Abbey School, RG1 5DU.

Salary: 12.50 to 25.00 per hour per training session.

Note. Weekend matches are not paid but you will receive bonuses based on performance and travel miles covered.

Requirements

Level 1 license or above is required. Professional or semi-professional level playing experience is preferable. At least 1 year football coaching experience is required. Have an in-date CRC, Safeguarding and First Aid qualifications. Experience with coaching and dealing with children at primary or secondary schools is desirable. Great communication and leadership skills.
