stix & Stones are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Runner to join our vibrant team in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The Food Runner will play a crucial role in ensuring that meals are delivered promptly and efficiently from the kitchen to our guests, enhancing their dining experience. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of food safety, and a passion for hospitality.

Duties

Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area, ensuring timely service. Assist in meal preparation as needed, maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate orders and ensure accuracy. Help maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area and kitchen. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and requests promptly. Collaborate with delivery drivers when necessary to ensure smooth operations. Uphold the restaurant's standards of quality, presentation, and service at all times.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable. Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette when interacting with guests or staff. Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail. A positive attitude with a willingness to help others and contribute to a team-oriented atmosphere. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
