What you'll be doing!



As a Guest Service Supervisor, you will support the Open Lobby Manager in leading the team of Guest Service Assistants to deliver a friendly, upbeat, and professional experience to all our hotel guests within the Open Lobby Department which includes front of house and food and beverage areas.

Ensuring each shift runs smoothly, from preparing the Restaurant, to serving on the bar and checking our guests in and out of the hotel. Our Open Lobby areas are a place for our guests relax, unwind, feel comfortable and safe and as a Guest Service Supervisor, you play a vital role in making this happen.

You will ensure the Open Lobby areas are maintained to a high standard throughout the day. You will work closely with other areas of the hotel including reservations, housekeeping, and finance to ensure the smooth running of each day and you will be consistently supporting the team ensuring that they have all the knowledge and skills they require to deliver exceptional service and that exceptional guest experience.

Main duties and responsibilities include:



Support the Open Lobby Manager in achieving all brand standards & company metrics and objectives Leading great Guest Service throughout your day - Assisting with guest requests and dealing with complaints to ensure guest satisfaction Ensuring a smooth check in and out experience for all our guests Ensuring all repeat guests receive recognition & appreciation inline with IHG Brand Standards Ensuring the smooth daily operation of all the Open Lobby Areas, including, Restaurant, Bar, Conference, Events and Reception Supporting the effectiveness of forecasting and budgeting through rostering and timesheets Driving the Training and development of our Guest Service Assistants to ensure they Support in nurturing & growing new talent Ensure collaboration between all departments. Building strong relationships with all the hotel team Supporting your leaders through the talent acquisitions process Managing and overseeing Absence Management within the Open Lobby department Upholding food hygiene standards within Food and Beverage areas To carry out Duty Manager duties Assisting with performance management of all Guest Service Assistants Ensuring that we capture all walk in/ telephone reservations ensuring maximum occupancy for the hotel Plan and prepare a detailed hand over for the next shift Work in line with the premises licence to serve guests beverages in our bar areas Ensuring the comfort, safety & security of all our guests always Support in guaranteeing that we are compliant with all legal health and safety requirements
