About us:

We are a family-owned group of 3 restaurants in the heart of Edinburgh. Our emphasis is on Scottish, seasonal food, cooked to order & served with a smile.

Scott's Kitchen is open 7 days a week located on Victoria terrace in Edinburgh with the perfect south facing terrace to enjoy breakfast, lunch, coffee, cakes, cocktails and private dining.

What's involved:

As a member of our Front of House team your primary duty is to ensure our guests are well looked after and cared for throughout. To do so you'll receive training on all aspects of our menu so you can talk confidently about the local fresh ingredients we source and make recommendations that you know our guests will love!

As well as this, your responsibilities will include running a section of the restaurant - after receiving full training of how to do so, welcoming guests with a friendly smile, taking orders, making & delivering drinks, delivering food, taking payments of bills, cleaning & resetting tables & keeping the floor & back of house areas clean and tidy at all times.

What we're looking for:

Someone with a warm & friendly personality, who enjoys providing customers with a great experience & having fun whist doing so

Someone who thrives on working together as a team but can also take initiative when working solo

Someone who performs well in a fast-paced environment.

Someone with great attention to detail & great communication skills

Someone with flexibility to work a variety of shifts between day shifts, weekend shifts & some evening work when we have private events & event catering

Someone willing to work inside and outside on our south facing terrace all year round (it gets super busy in the summer!!)

Someone with a willingness & desire to learn with potential to progress within the company.
