Monday To Friday 06:00 - 14:00 / 14:00-22:00

JOB PURPOSE

As a Food Production Operative, you will participate in the production of high-quality, great tasting, safe meat products for our customers throughout the UK.

AS A FOOD PRODUCTION OPERATIVE YOU WILL:

Complete the daily operational plan for your designated department Escalate any production issues to the Team Leader as required Comply with company and legislative health & safety, food safety and personal hygiene procedures and regulations Learn company procedures and ensure that they are always followed correctly Ensure that agreed GMP standards are maintained, and green results are achieved on weekly audits by the technical team To be representative of the company's high standards at all times and to conduct yourself in a professional and positive manner Any other reasonable request as required

SKILLS REQUIRED AS A FOOD PRODUCTION OPERATIVE:

No experience is required, however previous experience in a Food Production, Factory, or Warehouse environment would be advantageous Good reliability and good timekeeping Conscientious with a good ability to communicate with others Willingness to learn and be a good team player Leads by example and contributes to a positive working environment Takes co-operative, enthusiastic and orderly approach, helping to complete production tasks when required Flexible approach with ability to carry out a wide variety of tasks and adapt to the changing needs of the Company

What you'll do:

This role's main purpose is to manage the efficient processing operation within FMP. Ensuring the processes, manufacturing and quality of our products meet the high specification that Cranswick Convenience Foods sets out while always operating within our technical guidelines. This is the most important part within the production team so we're looking for the right candidate to help achieve the daily plans whilst adhering to agreed policies and procedures.

To have a good knowledge of the food manufacturing business and to be trained or have a form of training in food safety.

Within this FMP role, and on this shift pattern, you will be factory based, directly handling raw meat as you will be involved within the first stage of production. Being a Food Manufacturing site, our factory is kept at between 4 degrees and 8 degrees in temperature to adhere to food safety standards so the environment is cold but we do provide fleeces and protective workwear to our staff.
