Are you passionate about supporting young minds and making a real difference in the classroom? We're looking for a dedicated, experienced, energetic, and caring Flexible Learning Programme (FLP) - Transition Worker to join our fantastic team!


What you'll be doing:




Support individual or small groups of pupils with learning and integration into full-time education. Deliver sessions, coordinate with subject leaders, and assist in assessment. Promote pupil wellbeing, adhere to school policies, attend school events, and maintain parent communication. Deliver academic/social sessions at various venues, including homes. Transport pupils, organise wellbeing activities, and create timetables. Support transitions into school, vocational placements, and KS5 providers. Keep accurate records of engagement and attendance. Promote positive behaviour and wellbeing, following safeguarding procedures. Work with safeguarding leads, manage risk assessments, and deliver welfare support. Provide mentoring or counselling and maintain behavioural and safeguarding records.

What we're looking for:




Previous experience in a similar educational support role. Experience working with students with ASC and/or SEMH needs.

Effective communication with parents and carers.

Strong understanding of child development, autism strategies, and trauma-informed approaches. Strong understanding of child development and the primary/secondary curriculum. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage behaviour effectively and support diverse learning needs. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. A proactive and positive approach to supporting student learning.

Opened in 2014, Arc School Ansley is an independent specialist day school in Ansley, a lovely small village, for children and young people aged between 11 and 17.



Our experienced team is dedicated to providing outstanding education to children and young people a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition, who may have many associated needs such as; social, emotional and mental health needs, communication needs and cognition and learning needs.



Arc School Ansley is part of Kedleston Group. We specialise in providing specialist education and care for children aged 7-19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). These include autistic spectrum condition (ASC), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).
