he Opportunity

Join Holcim as a Fixed Plant Fitter, where you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing fixed plant to ensure smooth and safe operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work as part of a dedicated team, keeping our facilities running efficiently. If you're a current fixed plant fitters or Heavy mobile plant fitters with relevant qualifications, along with a proactive attitude and strong problem-solving skills, this is the perfect role for you.


You will be working a 4On 3Off, 4On 3Off, 7On 7Off roster.


On the 4On 3Off shift, working hours are 07:00 to 16:45 onsite. This means you will need to get the 06:30 boat to site and the 16:45 boat offsite (landing at 17:15) as Glensanda is only accesible via a ferry.


On the 7On 7Off, working hours are 07:00 to 19:30 onsite. This means you will need to get the 06:30 boat to site and the 19:30 boat offsite (landing at 20:00). This averages out at 41.38 hour per week.

Who you are

You're an experienced and motivated Fixed Plant Fitter with a solid background in mechanical maintenance, demonstrating a proactive approach to equipment upkeep and operational efficiency.

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in mechanical maintenance. Ability to read and work from engineering drawings, plan and implement maintenance schedules, and respond effectively to breakdowns. Strong understanding of safe working practices and commitment to following safety protocols. Self-motivated, with strong communication and teamworking skills, and a results-driven approach. Capable of using digital systems to document maintenance activities and track performance effectively. Experience working in minning industry or a quarry is a plus.
