Shirley Parsons have exclusively partnered with a Consultancy specialising in Fire Safety, Construction and Asbestos Management services who have an opening for a Fire Safety Consultant. The post holder will be responsible for advising clients on all manner of Fire Safety and ensuring compliance with all legal requirements. This opportunity has a hybrid working arrangement and will suit candidates residing anywhere South of Birmingham, but preferably in or around London and the home counties, with the ability to commit to national travel and occasional nights away.

The Fire Safety Consultant will be responsible for:

• Fire Risk Assessments on complex and non-complex premises, including but not limited to, residential blocks and care homes, Type 1 to Type 4 depending on client requirements.
• Completing compartmentation and fire door surveys.
• Managing client projects, providing sound advice on fire safety.
• Developing emergency plans and delivering fire safety training.

The ideal Fire Safety Consultant requires:

• Three or more years of experience in fire safety within Consultancy or across a range of sectors.
• NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate as a minimum, preferably holding the FDIS Diploma in Fire Doors.
• Membership with the IFSM or IFE, or eligible to join.
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills, with a personable and conscientious nature.
