About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading property maintenance provider specializing in residential developments. They are seeking a skilled
Fire Defence & Electrical Engineer
to deliver planned and reactive maintenance services across fire safety, CCTV, and access control systems. This role is ideal for a proactive engineer passionate about ensuring safety and compliance in residential settings.
Key Responsibilities
Perform
planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
and
reactive repairs
on mechanical and electrical systems, including fire alarms, emergency lighting, CCTV, and access control.
Conduct inspection, testing, and certification of fire alarms, emergency lighting, and security systems in line with industry standards.
Complete detailed digital reports via a job management app, ensuring accurate documentation of work carried out.
Collaborate with site teams, subcontractors, and apprentices to resolve technical issues efficiently.
Carry out site surveys to support quotation processes for new projects.
Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols and promote a culture of compliance.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
City & Guilds Level 3
or
NVQ Level 3
in Electrical Engineering.
17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
certification (preferred).
Minimum
4 years' experience
maintaining fire alarms, CCTV, and access control systems.
Strong technical expertise in fault-finding and repairing addressable/conventional fire systems and IP/analogue CCTV.
Full UK driving licence (clean record required).
Proficiency in using digital tools for reporting and documentation.
Excellent time management and ability to work autonomously or within a team.
