We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fire Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of fire safety systems and engineering principles, ensuring the installation, and maintenance of fire protection systems meet regulatory standards. This role is crucial in safeguarding lives and property through effective fire engineering practices.
Responsibilities
Conduct site assessments to evaluate existing fire safety measures and recommend improvements.
Collaborate with contractors, and other engineers to ensure seamless integration of fire safety systems within building designs.
Utilise both electrical and mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues with fire protection systems.
Perform inspections and tests on installed systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Maintain accurate documentation of system modifications, and maintenance activities.
Install, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems
Skills
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with hand tools and power tools effectively.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
A proactive approach to learning new technologies and methods in fire engineering.
Relevant certifications and qualifications
The job is midlands based but may require nationwide travel on certain jobs.
