Financial Risk Actuary

Join our leading financial services client on a 6-month initial contract as a Financial Risk Actuary. We are currently seeking a highly qualified Actuary to join our 2nd Line Corporate Transactions Risk Team. This role offers the chance to contribute to strategic decision-making and drive growth.

\xf0\x9f\x8e\x93 Qualification: Must be a Qualified Actuary

\xf0\x9f\x92\xa1 Experience: Credit/Market Risk, line 1/line 2 risk oversight preferred

Responsibilities:

• Conduct independent 2nd line risk reviews for critical corporate transactions and strategic projects.
• Collaborate closely with our business development teams, providing invaluable independent challenge and risk insights.
• Evaluate risks associated with diverse project proposals, such as Bulk Purchase Annuity (BPA) transactions, Reinsurance structuring, Equity Release Mortgage origination, new product propositions, and M&A.
• Thrive in a dynamic and high-visibility environment, contributing to the success of impactful projects.

Qualifications and Experience:

• We are seeking a highly skilled and qualified life insurance actuary with expertise in pricing, risk management, BPA, reinsurance, equity release mortgages, and/or mergers & acquisitions.
• Familiarity with credit and market risk is essential, and experience in line 1/line 2 risk oversight is a definite plus.
