This role is based in London, Victoria, and offers hybrid working, with three days in the office.
The Role: Responsible for managing a team of direct reports, including performance, providing mentorship and guidance, ensuring timely completion of tasks, and facilitating professional development opportunities.*
Responsible for Landsec's external reporting on a subsidiary and joint venture level, including the production of statutory accounts for subsidiary and joint venture companies and the management reporting to joint venture partners*
Responsible for company level accounting for specific transactions, joint venture accounting and cashflow forecasting*
Assist in the preparation of the interim and final 'glossy' accounts and month-end procedures.*
The Team:The Statutory Reporting team is part of the Group Finance team at Landsec. The team consists of two Financial Reporting Managers, reporting into the Head of Statutory Reporting, and six Financial Accountants. The team is responsible for the majority of the Group's financial reporting activities, with particular focus on subsidiary level accounting and reporting and being the key point of contact for the wider business for subsidiary level financial control. The team work closely with internal stakeholders such as the Tax, Company Secretary and Legal teams, and external stakeholders such as the auditors and joint venture partners.
What you will be responsible for: Managing a team of three Financial Accountants, overseeing daily operations to ensure reporting and tasks are completed in a timely and accurately manner, and coordinating the preparation of accurate financial information*
Responsible for the delivery of statutory accounts for subsidiary and joint venture companies. This includes acting as the key point of contact for the external auditor and internally with key stakeholders such as tax, asset managers, company secretariat, treasury, legal and service charges*
Financial reporting for company level transactions, such as share issues and dividends*
Responsible for the delivery of financial reporting to our joint venture partners, as well as facilitating joint venture transactions such as management fees and distributions*
Ownership of key monthly and quarterly reporting commitments*
Undertaking ad-hoc projects as required i.e., corporate rationalisation and simplification, transactions, working on a special project with another team*
The prime reporting responsibility will be to the Head of Statutory Reporting but on certain issues it will be to the Head of Financial Accounting, the Group Financial Controller or elsewhere across Finance*
Your skills, experience and qualifications:
Essential criteria Leadership skills and/or management experience*
Accountancy Qualification*
