Financial Reporting Business Partner - Malton - \xc2\xa345,000 - \xc2\xa355,000

Chase & Holland have an excellent opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join an innovative, forward-thinking business based in North East Lincolnshire. Our client, has experienced rapid growth in recent years and need a Finance Business Partner to join their financial reporting team, reporting directly into the Group Head of Tax. This is a fantastic time to get involved with a business at the forefront of their industry. The successful candidate will be very comfortable with challenging different stakeholders and developing relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Financial Reporting Business Partner responsibilities:

• Prepare and review the monthly UK VAT Group Returns
• Monitor, review, and reconcile all tax GL accounts
• Manage European tax incentive claims, specifically R&D and Patent Box, in collaboration with external advisors
• Oversee tax payments and cashflow forecasting across Europe
• Maintain the tax compliance diary
• Act as a business partner to provide financial and tax advice for new projects, R&D and group initiatives
• Strong ability to be the link between sites, finance department and external tax advisors. Motivating, challenging and engaging sites
• Support ad hoc projects as required

Required skills & experience:

• Part or fully qualified accountant preferred, but not essential
• Experience with VAT returns
• Excellent technical accounting abilities
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently
• Strong communication skills and confident decision-making abilities
• Ability to develop effective working relationships at all levels, internally and externally
• Proficient in relevant systems
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
• Keen attention to detail and analytical mindset
