Job Title: Financial Reporting Accountant Salary: \xc2\xa340,000 - \xc2\xa355,000 per annum Location: Cardiff
Job Purpose:
Responsible for processing, recording, maintaining and reconciling accounts to prepare reports in compliance with established policies and procedures.
Follows direction of the Head of Finance and provides support to ensure all deadlines, both internal & external are met in a reasonable time frame.
Responsibilities:
The key objective of the role is to assist the finance team in ensuring that all statutory, group and divisional financial accounting is carried out in a timely and professional manner by:
Validate the trial balance of the UK and German companies and report via the group reporting system
Monitoring overheads, issuing reports to departmental managers and report on major variances
Assist with inventory analysis, valuation, reporting and physical inventory verification
Maintain the weekly cashflow forecast to enable clear visibility of the company\'s\' cash position
Responsibility for reporting of Leases under IFRS16
Responsibility for monthly balance sheet reconciliation process
Support the budgeting and forecasting process
Coordinate and perform the monthly internal audit requirements and undertake the annual self declaration process in line with group requirements.
Preparation of annual corporation tax questionnaire for tax consultants.
Responsibility for submission of national statistics forms
Reviewing reports for accuracy and meticulously tracing errors back to their source to resolve errors and correct faulty reporting methods.
Complete regular and ad-hoc financial reports that provide information to meet the requirements of the business.
Any other tasks requested by management
Knowledge/Experience:
The jobholder should be a qualified accountant and preferably have an academic education to degree level. Full knowledge and understanding of all relevant accounting conventions is required.
Ideally, the jobholder will have had experience in both financial and management accounting roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment, and should have experience with profit and Loss and balance sheet preparation.
Strong analytical and numeracy skills will be necessary and excellent computer literacy will be a pre-qrequisite. The jobholder will have good organizational skills and will posses the ability to prioritise their workload as well as having good interpersonal skills.

Excellent written and spoken English.
UK Requirements: Eligibility to work in the UK.
IT: Microsoft Office skills to intermediate level namely Word and PowerPoint.
IT : Excel skills - Pivots, v look ups, IF formulas etc
M3 or similar ERP system experience - essential
Manufacturing experience - desirable
Due to the nature of this role, it is required that you live within reasonable travelling distance from the core area of work.
Due to the nature of this role, there may be a requirement to undertake work outside of normal hours i.e. evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
Month end timings may require additional hours.
