J Edward Sellars, based in Clevedon near Bristol, has been providing Investment Management Services and Financial Advice to clients since 1975.

We are currently looking for an experienced Financial Planner to aid in both managing existing clients and to help us expand our services to new clients in the area.

Summary of role:

As a Financial Planner you will be involved in all aspects of dealing with our clients. You will be the first point of contact and will be expected to build relationships and trust with them, provide ongoing support and advice as well as reviewing their existing arrangements periodically as required.

You will also look to build a client bank using all marketing tools at our disposal and be proactively seeking out new business.

Key responsibilities:

Liaise with clients both electronically, over the telephone and in person. Act as the initial point of contact with clients. Gather client information and update systems with client data. The preparation and presentation of Client reports and proposals. Be proactively seeking new business. Organise day to day client administration. Work within FCA compliance guidelines.
Essential skills and experience:

This is not an exclusive or exhaustive list but should include:

Previous experience in Wealth/Investment Management or Financial Advice sales including level 4 qualifications (CII/CISI) The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients. Strong written and verbal communication skills. A good eye for detail. Able to work with a team but ultimately be a self-starter. The drive and ambition to succeed.
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Base Salary: 30,000.00-50,000.00 (dependant on experience)

On Target Earnings - 70,000 (uncapped)
