Your responsibilities and tasks:The role reports primarily to the Divisional Representative, CattleEye, with a secondary (dotted line) reporting relationship to the UK Cluster CFO.
Monthly Financial Reporting: Preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts and completion of month-end reconciliations
GEA Reporting: Submission of monthly GEA figures in line with strict reporting deadlines
Accounts Payable: Processing of purchase invoices to support timely payment runs
Credit Control: Oversight and management of company credit control processes
Sales Invoicing: Generation and issuance of sales invoices in accordance with the company's operating model
Payroll Coordination: Processing payroll payments and liaising with the internal payroll team
Regulatory Compliance: Preparation and submission of statutory returns (PAYE, VAT, etc.) and ensuring timely payments
Statutory Accounts: Preparation of statutory financial statements and supporting tax schedules
Process Improvement: Evaluation and enhancement of existing processes to improve operational efficiency
SAP Implementation: Leading or supporting the implementation and execution of SAP systems
Ad Hoc Analysis: Delivery of ad hoc reports and investigations for both GE and local management teams
Compliance & Risk Reporting: Monitoring and reporting on compliance and risk management activities
Budgeting & Forecasting: Development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of budgeting and forecasting models
Authorisation Controls: Management and oversight of company authorisation levels and approval hierarchies
Your profile and qualifications:
2-3 years of operational finance experience, including shared services, finance transformation, and system optimisation.
UK accounting qualification (AAT, CIMA, or Qualified by Experience - QBE)
Experience managing grant claims for UK and Northern Ireland (Innovate UK / Invest NI) is desirable.
Strong accounting and controlling expertise.
Solid understanding of cross-functional systems, with hands-on SAP experience.
Advanced financial modelling, business analysis, and data interpretation skills.
Exposure to diverse organisational environments and best practices.
Ability to integrate non-financial factors into business decision-making.
Strong commercial acumen and understanding of business drivers.
Proven track record in managing legal and regulatory compliance.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Skilled in presenting financial data and insights to senior leadership.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Experience supporting leadership teams effectively.
Intercultural competence and ability to work across cultures.
