Job Description

The main purpose of the role is to manage financial data interfaces and analysis for this leading charity ensure that financial data is accurate. This role will identify issues, recommend solutions, and drive process and system improvements, ensuring the service provided to departments is of a high standard.

The key responsibilities for the role are as follows...

• Ensure financial data from third parties and other business systems is completely and accurately loaded into financial systems on a timely basis, including ecommerce and banking data
• Review interface results, identify and correct errors and inconsistencies
• Maintain a good understanding of financial systems and of the internal and external data flows and transactions that affect all the Museum\'s financial systems
• Perform the month end close function, including reconciliations of sub ledgers
• Evaluate and recommend ways to improve procedures and processes to line manager and other team members

The successful candidate will have...

• Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• A good understanding of system interfaces and experience in implementing new systems
• Ability to work swiftly and accurately with figures with strong attention to detail
• The ability to maintain consistency and accuracy in processing a high volume of transactions
• Ability to identify, investigate and resolve discrepancies
• PC literate with excellent input and spreadsheet skills
• Experience of operating at least one accounting package
