If so, we have the perfect career move for you. We\'re recruiting for a Financial Controller who is not only comfortable handling day-to-day finance operations but also passionate about shaping the future strategy and team.

As the Financial Controller, you\'ll be in charge of preparing management accounts, conducting financial reporting, and providing insightful analysis to aid business growth and achieve some ambitious goals over the coming years.

The responsibilities of the Idea Financial Controller:

  • Managing a small finance team of 2-3 finance professionals
  • Manage the day-to-day accounting operations through Xero and ensure accuracy
  • Reviewing and improve all finance processes and implementing \'best practice\' procedures
  • In accordance with the groups timescales, provide accurate financial reports and management accounts and present to the directors
  • Work with the business directors and heads of departments to drive business performance and growth
  • Budgeting, forecasting and weekly cash flow forecasting
  • Year-end and annual audit preparation, maybe with the help of external companies
  • Preparation and support of invoicing across the business
Skills and qualifications needed:
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with post qualified experience
  • 3+ years post qualified experience in a management/financial reporting role
  • Experience of budgeting, reporting and finance operations
  • Strong analytical skills with great attention to detail
  • Property experience is desirable (Estate Agency, Property Investment, Real Estate etc)
  • Experience of VAT management and reporting
  • Strong systems experience, need to have excellent working knowledge of Xero and a working knowledge of Jupix and Salesforce would be a distinct advantage yet not essential
  • Be enthusiastic and reliable and organised in their approach yet not afraid to roll your sleeves up with the day-to-day financial operations
