The business is well placed to take advantage of new opportunities in the market & they are looking for a Financial Controller to join them on the next phase of their journey.

The role of GFC is fundamental to the future success of the organisation and represents a real opportunity for a candidate to join an established, people led environment with excellent growth and career prospects. Reporting directly into the Finance Director you will produce increasingly effective, insightful and relevant MI to be shared and discussed with internal and external stakeholders. This will allow the senior team to make faster and more informed decisions around efficiency, commercial strategy and growth. You will also partner the senior team in championing financial control & understanding the business in an enthusiastic and collaborative manner.

Leading a team of 2 staff, you will have a stable background with a remit covering but not exclusive to:

• Lead, develop and inspire your direct reports to achieve their potential and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance department.
• Responsible for all financial accounting within the company as well as statutory reporting requirements.
• Prepare the monthly management accounts with supporting KPI data and commentary.
• Assist in a new system implementation.
• Lead on operational processes within the finance department including accounts payable and receivable, VAT and other HMRC returns, Internal Controls and Banking.

You will be a qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), you will have proven experience of managing and developing direct reports, with strong organisational and planning skills to effectively lead the team. You will be comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment whilst being able to think strategically and drive change where appropriate to improve efficiency.

Salary: \xc2\xa355,000 - \xc2\xa365,000 + Package
