Job Description
Resourcery Group are working with a global listed company who are looking for for some support for a 6 month period in their financial accounting function. This is a fixed term contract that offers hybrid working (2 days in the office) based in Liverpool. They are a multi-sited operation and you will be responsible for consolidating numbers for the local businesses.
The Financial Accountant\'s role:
- Consolidation of monthly UK accounts including Income Statement and Balance Sheet (US GAAP)
- Preparation of UK statutory accounts under FRS102
- Budget & Forecast consolidation
- Corporation tax computation preparation
- VAT compliance
- Liaise with internal and external auditors
- Carbon Footprint reporting to Group Finance
- Ad hoc reporting for other stakeholders including banking, pension trustees, Group Finance team
- Commercial support to UK Commercial FD at month end
- Packaging waste and plastic packaging tax compliance
- A fully qualified accountant - CIMA/ACCA/ACA
- Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
- Experience of working with multiple stakeholders
- Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate technical matters to non-finance employees
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise a demanding workload
- Strong Excel skills
