This newly created role is a fantastic opportunity to experience and support the integration process of a newly acquired business into a global engineering company. You will be playing a vital role in supporting a variety of financial regulatory, reporting and accounting duties, assisting with implementing standards and processes, contributing to the future development of the company to deliver on our growth strategy. This is a permanent position with long-term progression opportunities, welcoming applications considering flexible working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering proactive ad-hoc financial analysis to support business unit decision making
• Prepare weekly requirements such as sales, orders, and cash reports
• Support with monthly balance sheet review and reconciliations
• Month-end responsibilities and reporting tasks, such as (but not limited to) journals preparation and posting, intercompany payments, running and reviewing of debtors and creditors aging reports, provisions calculations
• Support with the budgeting and forecasting process by consolidating the budget, analyzing and understanding variances
• Support and prepare the annual financial reports for the business unit
• Assist the Finance Leader by becoming a \xe2\x80\x9csuper user\xe2\x80\x9d for the main financial systems

Requirements:

• Qualified or solid accounting experience (AAT or any recognised accounting qualification)
• SAP Business One knowledge
• Solid and proven experience within accounting, e.g. balance sheet reconciliations and month end processes
• Strong IT skills, experienced in use of Excel and ability to pick up new systems
• Analytical mindset with ability to produce to a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, balancing both short and long-term requests
• Adaptability with agile and continuous improvement mindset
• Proactive
