About the Role:



We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Finance Manager to lead key aspects of our financial control and reporting functions. This role will be instrumental in ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across our finance processes. You will work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to drive operational efficiency and support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead and manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, including payroll and cash control functions. Own and oversee the completion of FCA regulatory reporting and provide oversight to investment firm submissions. Maintain integrity of the balance sheet through preparation, review, and improvement of monthly reconciliations. Identify and address process and control deficiencies across Finance by collaborating with relevant stakeholders. Maintain and continuously improve the Finance Function Manual and Finance Operating Procedures. Provide operational oversight of the Treasury function and banking systems, with guidance from the Head of Financial Reporting & Control. Lead development and oversight of the cash forecasting model to ensure accuracy and relevance. Take full ownership of budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Manage the finance system, including control enhancements, system upgrades, and reporting enhancements. Oversee procurement and project-related financial activities to drive cost efficiencies. Drive business partnering initiatives to provide data-driven insights that inform financial sustainability and strategic decision-making. Represent Finance in the Debt Committee and provide reporting on provision and movement analysis. Support the year-end audit process, ensuring timely and complete delivery of audit requirements. Oversee central finance functions including Revenue, Payroll, Purchase Ledger, and Management Accounts. Lead the policy management programme to ensure compliance with operational and financial regulations. Mentor and manage a team, fostering a culture of continuous development and high performance. Collaborate with the wider finance team on ad hoc projects and initiatives.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA



Qualifications



CIMA/ACCA qualified or QEB with being at final stage of qualifying

GCSE English and Maths (A-C) Grade or equivalent IT Literate Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS
Knowledge & Experience

Experience of producing full management accounts Experience of working in a high transaction, labour intensive business 5 years+ experience in a finance function Demonstrate experience of working within a administrative role Be able to demonstrate an ability to work with directors/owners and managers Strong Reconciliation skills, looking at large volume of data and understanding variance analysis. Knowledge of the Care Sector
