Following the great news that we\'ve awarded our Finance Manager a promotion, we\'re now looking to find someone to take over the reins, to make the position their own.
With our previous Finance Manager still available to support your induction into the team, we\'d love to hear from you if you\'re an experienced Finance Manager, or perhaps you\'re an experienced Finance Assistant who\'s ready to make the next step up in your career. About this Finance Manager job
Joining a small group of friendly people in smart, modern offices, your role as Finance Manager will see you leading and developing our small finance team whilst being responsible for the day-to-day management of the Finance Department.

You\'ll be given all the help you need to learn the computer systems we use and you\'ll also be given great training on the company\'s product range so you feel confident to deliver a great internal service along with the rest of the team.

The current offices are modern and smart and, at the end of this year, we\'re planning to move to brand new, purpose built offices near the Stonehouse train station, all newly decorated, with new equipment and modern break out rooms for taking lunch and getting to know your new colleagues. We\'re also planning to add a table football table and other fun things to use at break times if that\'s your thing!
The team has grown again this year to support increasing demand for the product range, and feedback from a person who joined us recently confirmed that they have been made to feel very welcome indeed, and they were made to feel part of the team very quickly. This person\'s new colleagues have been friendly and supportive. The training on how to use the computer systems has been great and this person feels that they have been helped along the way to become the best they can be in their job as they settle in.

Location: Stonehouse, Gloucestershire
Salary on offer: We\'re looking to pay up to \xc2\xa340,000 with an excellent benefits package
Contract type: Permanent
Working hours: 09:00 - 17:00 Monday to Thursday, 09:00 - 16:00 Fridays

Your role and responsibilities as our new Finance Manager

  • Deliver accurate reporting of all financials to the Finance Director
  • Timely completion of month end responsibilities including but not limited to: accruals, prepayments, stock, VAT and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Co-ordinating with supply chain team to effectively manage working capital, to include: stock management, procurement and debtors
  • Utilising commercial experience to monitor significant areas of margins and costs
  • Monthly cashflow planning & treasury reporting
  • Assisting the Finance Director with budgets and forecasting
  • Payroll responsibilities to include the processing of monthly salaries & reconciliations in co-ordination with the Financial Director
  • Supervise, support and train junior members of the three person team
  • Assist with year-end audit as required
  • Carry out work with consistent accuracy and look to increase efficiency where possible
The skills and experience you\'ll need to join us as our new Finance Manager
  • Part qualified AAT/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent qualified by experience
  • Working knowledge of assisting in the monthly reporting process including VAT
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPS, Pivot Tables)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Supervisory experience is desirable
