St Lawrence Jewry is seeking a qualified accountant with sufficient experience to join our team, to manage the financial administration of this busy civic church in the heart of the City of London as we continue to connect with the City following a period of extensive restoration and reorganisation. The role will initially be for two days per week, \xc2\xa312,000pa. The Finance Manager will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day recording of the financial activities of the church, which will involve working with the Treasurer to prepare budgets and accounts, monitor finances and cash flows, and liaise with independent examiners and stakeholders. They will work with the Church Administrator to ensure income is appropriately invoiced and suppliers paid. St Lawrence Jewry is a Church of England Guild Church within the Diocese of London and is the official church to the City of London Corporation. The Finance Manager does not need to be a member of the Church of England or a Christian, although they should have a positive view of the Christian faith and be in broad sympathy with the life of the Church. St Lawrence Jewry is committed to the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults. The post is subject to a completed DBS check and the successful applicant will undertake any necessary Safeguarding Training as required by the Church of England.
