Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working with a specialist manufacturing business in their recruitment for an experienced Management Accountant / Finance Manager. This business has recently undergone a transition and is now Private Equity owned, highlighting the growth potential of the organisation. They work closely with various large organisations across the UK to provide effective manufacturing solutions via their products and service.

This signifies a terrific opportunity for a candidate who has a hands-on and proactive approach whilst also possessing previous Finance Manager / Management Accountant experience.

The position offers autonomy whilst undertaking an all-round approach to the ownership of finance function of this business, offering a great benefits package aligning with a fantastic work-life balance, including both flexible and hybrid working and company shutdown over the Christmas period.

The ideal candidate for this role will come from an SME background and have a clear understanding of the end-to-end financial process.
Duties include:

• Acting as overall finance lead within the business
• Producing monthly management accounts
• Month end close including posting journals, running the systems updates and closing sales, purchase and nominal ledgers
• Production of budgets & annual forecasts
• Weekly payroll calculations, inputs and payments
• Cash management of daily / weekly cash flow
• Ensure taxation compliance is completed on a weekly and monthly basis and annual returns to HMRC are completed in a timely manner

Person Specification:

• Part-qualified or Qualified AAT / ACA / ACCA / CIMA
