About us:
VPZ is a family-run business with our head office in Edinburgh. We have grown from just 1 store in Edinburgh to over 180 stores across the whole of the UK and with lots of new store openings planned, we're not stopping there. We are known for setting and driving the standards within the vape industry.
About the role:
We are looking for a qualified (or near-qualified) accountant who has experience of working in a multi-site retail environment. You will have Sage 50 experience and solid Excel skills.
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our accounting records and financial systems. This role requires a proactive and analytical approach. 5 days on site required here at Head Office, Newbridge Edinburgh.
Responsibilities:
Completing management accounts Preparation of store P&L accounts Historic and predictive cash flow reporting Ensure a rigorous month end close process Assisting the Finance Director in the preparation and maintenance of budgets and forecasts Ensuring the company is compliant with VAT and tax regulations and preparation of appropriate VAT returns
Experience required:
Qualified (or near-qualified) accountant 3-5 years of experience in a similar role Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail Excellent communication skills Stakeholder Management
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: 40,000.00-50,000.00 per year
