Finance Manager - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract Location - this role will be based in Hammersmith, 4 days per week. Job Summary

The Motion Pictures team is responsible for the sales, distribution and marketing of approximately 30 cinematic releases per year across the Marvel, Lucas, Disney, Pixar, Fox, Fox Searchlight, and BlueSky brands. FY19 expected GBO across these brands is over $3bn, with marketing spend of close to $0.5bn.

The role manages the effective, timely and accurate delivery in the EMEA Centre of Excellence of AOP, Forecast, FYP and close across a group of markets along with either (a) looking after regional costs and consolidation or (b) looking after Motion Pictures dubbing costs. The finance manager must be able to apply business knowledge and insights to data to assess implications on financials and has responsibility for managing an analyst and an intern.
The Opportunity & Responsibilities:

Delivery

• Analyse and interpret business information to identify high level trends and issues
• Contribute to projects beyond the finance function using professional expertise to support, advise and guide others as part of cross-functional project teams
• Review existing processes and actively challenge the status quo, providing proposals for process/systems improvement that will positively impact business effectiveness assisting the Director of Motion Pictures Finance in identify the best approaches across both Fox and Disney to ensure the processes are best in class.
• Manage end-to-end processes within a full planning cycle (e.g. forecasting, AOP, reporting, close etc.) to ensure the effective financial management of the business area
• Manage, maintain and recommend improvements to financial systems, partnering with IT to ensure systems are fit for purpose
• Manage complex projects beyond the immediate scope of the role to deliver improved business processes or systems with a business area
  
  Business Partnership

• Develop and deliver financial presentations for key business stakeholders both in regional as well as within markets as part of the centre of excellence to inform thinking about future business management
• Build relationships with key business stakeholders to provide guidance and influence their thinking around future business direction
  
  Team Management

• Manage the analyst and intern to ensure effective accurate and timely delivery of financial processes around the key cycles of Budget, Forecast, FYP and close.
• Manage, motivate and develop a team to deliver effective transactional, process and analytical support to the business area
• Share knowledge effectively across the function to facilitate good financial management and support the development of others

The Experience We Require From You:

• Degree level essential and Accounting qualification + experience of an equivalent role.
• Experience of working within the studios Motion Pictures sector preferably for a US corporation.
• Experience of supporting commercial management to a high standard and working with the Regional Finance and Commercial head office.
• Must have managed a team showing evidence of developing and supporting them.
• Demonstrable track record of providing commercial support to a business partner that\xe2\x80\x99s insightful, timely and responsive.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, flexible to all levels of the organisation.
• Ability to produce clear and insightful presentations that deliver key messaging at the appropriate level of detail.
• Proven track record of influence, persuasion and engaging communication at all levels of the organisation
• Experience of managing multiple stakeholders
• Numerate and analytical with a desire to think through and not only resolve problems
• Ability to work effectively through their team motivating them through the natural peaks of work
