Our client are a UK-based manufacturer specialising in high-pressure components for the oil and gas sector. They have recently been aquired and this acquisition marked a transition into a wholly owned subsidiary, bringing it under the governance, financial strategy, and reporting standards of a global parent company.
The Role
This Finance Manager position has been created to bridge local UK financial operations and global group reporting obligations. While working day-to-day within in Rotherham and supporting local leadership, the successful candidate will report directly to the Group CFO in India.
The core function of this role is to ensure that financial operations, management information, and reporting cadence are fully aligned with group-level strategy, quarterly audit cycle, and consolidated financial frameworks. The role requires an individual capable of operating hands-on within a UK manufacturing finance environment while adapting and presenting information to meet the standards and expectations of a global aerospace group.
Key Responsibilities
Group Reporting & Financial Integration
Prepare and present monthly management accounts across all divisional entities
Conduct margin and variance analysis with commentary aligned to group requirements
Format and submit entity-level financials in line with group reporting standards
Support quarterly hard-close audits and contribute to consolidated group-level reporting
Cash Management & Treasury
Lead weekly preparation of detailed cash flow forecasts by entity, including variance explanations
Present consolidated cash positions during weekly meetings with the Group CFO and Financial Controller
Oversee supplier payment processes and manage credit control activities
Local Financial Operations
Deliver VAT submissions, ONS reporting, and payroll for the UK entity
Organise and lead regular stock counts, reconciliation, and variance investigations
Review all balance sheet reconciliations and implement necessary controls
Oversee accounting for finance leases and right-of-use assets
Business Partnership & Stakeholder Support
Act as the primary finance contact for both local management and Raghu group leadership
Provide financial guidance and oversight to divisional admin teams
Serve as key contact for bank and insurance partners
Support ad hoc analysis and internal reporting needs across both entities
Candidate Profile
A finance professional with demonstrable experience in both operational finance and group-level reporting
Comfortable working within an international reporting structure and bridging regulatory/cultural differences between the UK and India
Able to manage both granular financial processes and strategic financial alignment
Strong communicator with experience in stakeholder engagement at senior levels
Preferred Experience
Background in industrial manufacturing or engineering sectors
Familiarity with Javelin ERP (or comparable finance systems)
Experience supporting international consolidation and audit processes
Working Pattern
This is a full-time role, based five days per week on site in Rotherham. Flexibility may be considered where delivery of outcomes is consistently achieved.
