Finance Manager

to safeguard our financial integrity, own the P&L, and innovate the processes that power our brand.

What You'll Own

Full-Cycle Accounting - manage statutory accounts from source entry to signed audit; lead month-end close, balance-sheet recs and cash-flow. Produce monthly management accounts to present to the directors. P&L Leadership - produce, analyse and scrutinise variances, delivering clear commentary and proactive performance actions. Sales & Purchase Ledger Control - Manage the sales ledger from invoice through to payment with strong credit control. Ensure the purchase ledger is correct, liaising with suppliers and uploading purchase orders with stock through to the live site. Strategic Planning - drive budgeting, forecasting and multi-currency modelling across retail & trade channels. Compliance & Tax - oversee UK and international VAT/Duty, optimise the company tax position and stay ahead of evolving legislation financial and non-financial. Manage weekly payroll ensuring accuracy and compliance with rule changes. Control & Risk - liaise with external accountants, fortify controls, safeguard assets and mitigate risk. Systems & Reporting - elevate Sage 200 and BI dashboards; integrate Shopify feeds for real-time, SKU-level insight. Providing commercial reports to the directors and making data driven suggestions based on sales and website figures. International Shipping & Global Sales - partner with logistics on cross-border shipments, analyse landed costs and unlock overseas growth.
What You'll Bring

ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification. 5+ years' post-qualification expertise in fast-growth SME or mid-market settings, delivering end-to-end full-cycle accounting is preferred. Mastery of Sage 200, Shopify, advanced Excel and ERP/BI tools. Proven ownership of P&L with an analytical mindset for variance analysis and margin optimisation. Hands-on experience with duty, VAT and cross-border shipping cost analysis. Confident communicator who influences directors and non-finance stakeholders alike. Sharp commercial acumen, passion for process excellence and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
