Finance Manager - Global Manufacturing
Office Based - Dartford

My client is a manufacturing company with clients globally. They are looking for an experienced Finance Manager who is confident managing the finance team and oversee the daily operations of the finance department. You will have a finance qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA etc), have an excellent eye for detail and be confident using accounting software.

The role

• Oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including but not limited to month-end and year-end processes, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, trust account statement reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, and debt activity.
• Analyze accounting data, produce financial reports, and present findings to management.
• Lead the transition of Finance within our ERP system.
• Manage the use of ERP by the Finance team, ensuring effective reporting mechanisms are in place.
• Maintain consistent weekly communication with the parent company regarding the functional activities of production, sales, and administration.
• Participate in monthly accounting close processes, working with the Accounts team to ensure timely, accurate, and comprehensive financial reports.
• Implement and uphold proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
• Coordinate and complete annual audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Offer recommendations to improve systems, procedures, and initiate corrective actions.
• Delegate projects and direct staff, ensuring compliance and accuracy across all financial operations.
• Meet financial accounting objectives and establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.

The person

• Proven experience as a Finance Manager, Accounting Supervisor, or Accounting Manager.
• Relevant accounting experience, preferably in the Manufacturing sector.
• Professional accounting certification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent).
• Experience managing/supervising a finance team
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, accounting software, and databases.
• Experience with Epicor is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct and supervise a team.
