Watershed is a registered charity who is looking to recruit an experienced and able Finance Manager who shares similar values to the charity. The Finance Manager works as part of the finance team to ensure accurate and timely monitoring and accounting for Watershed Arts Trust and Watershed Ventures. Responsibilities include monthly financial reporting, monitoring of programme and project contracts, supporting the annual external audit, management of tenancy contracts and group VAT returns and line management of three staff in the team, and support for the day-to-day running of the department.
In this role you will also co ordinate with the programme and projects team to monitor and record project activity for the Arts Trust and Watershed Ventures to ensure accurate accounting for all programme activity and funds.
You will also work closely with the Finance Director, implementing and shaping the new transformation agenda and systems update.
Key experienced needed:
- Qualified or QBE with experience of working in a charity being advantageous
*Demonstrable knowledge of MS Office, including competence with Sage and other similar accounting software with intermediate Excel skills or higher
*Excellent communication skills at all levels and experience of working closely with budget holders and non-finance stake holders
*Thorough, accurate, pro-active and a keen eye for detail.
*Able to identify solutions and with the support of the FD, able to lead and implement department improvements and efficiencies.
*Responsive to competing needs in a fast-paced organisation, able to prioritise and meet deadlines.
