FINANCE DIRECTOR

CREWE (Hybrid 3 days office, 2 days remote)

\xc2\xa3100,000 to \xc2\xa3150,000 + BUSINESS PERFORMANCE BONUS + BENEFITS

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We\'re exclusively partnering with a highly successful and rapidly growing Manufacturing business that operates internationally and as part of their strategic growth, they now seek an experienced Finance Director.

As Finance Director, you\'ll undertake a strategic role within the business whilst ensuring operational excellence across the transactional side of the finance function.

The successful candidate will need solid background at Finance Director/FD or Chief Financial Officer/CFO level in a fast-paced Manufacturing business, with the experience of handling M&A work and raising Private Equity Funding to fuel growth.

THE FINANCE DIRECTOR ROLE OVERVIEW:

• As Finance Director, you\'ll be reporting to the key Shareholders and collaborating with key stakeholders at board level.
• Directly responsible for the day-to-day leadership, training & development of an existing team of 3 transactional accounts professionals
• Responsible for managing both the strategic and transactional finance function which operates in 3 currencies.
• Ensuring that the finance team is equipped to handle fast growth across multiple international territories.
• Strategic planning, conducting in-depth analysis and producing board reports.
• Creating accurate cashflow forecasts and raising concerns with board & shareholders
• Working closely with department heads to prepare accurate annual budgeting and financial forecasting prior to presenting to the shareholders for approval.
• Ensuring year end accounts are prepared to audit level in collaboration with the retained external accountancy practice.
• Working closely with the external accountancy practice who produce the monthly management accounts.
• Identifying key areas of cost efficiencies to improve margins and profitability.
• Leading the ERP Migration & upgrade project which ultimately involve moving the management accounts process internally.
• Advising the board and key shareholders on M&A targets and seeking Private Equity Funding to accelerate business growth.
• Managing and leveraging key banking relationships
• Reviewing internal finance processes and implementing new processes to create
• Liaising with HR & External recruitment agencies for key finance hires

THE PERSON:

• Must have experience as a fully qualified Finance Director/FD or Chief Financial Officer/CFO level within a manufacturing business. Qualified to ACCA / CIMA.
• Must have experience of leading the finance function for a business where Turnover has exceeded c.\xc2\xa360m +
• Demonstrable experience of both strategic & transactional leadership of the finance function, with key expertise around strategic planning, forecasting, budgets, M&A and Private Equity Funding
• Excellent presentation skills, able to produce and deliver high level financial presentations to the board and to investors
• Strong experience with ERP Systems is essential, system migration experience would a significant advantage.
• A highly professional communicator who is forthright in approach to driving change in a growth business
• Experience of operating in a multi-currency environment would be an advantage.
