Job Description
I am delighted to be working on behalf of a successful, pharmaceutical business based in Cambridge, which is recruiting a Finance Director role. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business, which has good pipeline and which has enjoyed significant growth over the past 12 months.
Reporting to the General Manager, this role is responsible for managing the finance function, ensuring the smooth running of the business and, as part of the leadership team, collaborating across all departments, such as commercial, medical and HR.
Duties include;
- Work closely with the General Manager and Business Unit Directors, acting as a business partner
- Co-Ordinate all UK financial reporting at month and year end and ensure compliance with IFRS, tax and UK accounting standards
- Responsible for the budgeting process, from the planning, coordination and submission stages, working closely with the leadership team
- Support, coach and develop direct reports within the finance team
- Monitor, develop and implement finance policies, procedures and systems designed to meet the day-to-day business requirements
- Management accounting, including transactional and month-end accounts processing, monthly management accounts and group reporting
- Prepare and present results a monthly leadership team meetings
- Lead contact for auditors and tax advisors
Interested candidates must have extensive pharmaceutical industry sector experience. In addition, you will be a qualified accountant with relevant experience.
