We are delighted to be working with an organization based in Sheffield, who are currently looking to recruit a Finance Business Partner to join them on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will work to provide a Business partnering service to key stakeholders in the organiztaion, in the preparation of month end journals and financial reports, as well as monthly meetings with budget holders.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for maintaining the general ledger master data, including chart of accounts, uploading budgets including funds check, and maintenance of reports & enquiries.
- Responsible for developing and implementing the capital expenditure policy and the monitoring and recording of investment project spend
- Maintenance & reconciliation of the fixed asset register, and the capitalisation, depreciation & disposal of fixed assets.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations each month for accruals, prepayments, deferred income, Payroll deduction accounts including net pay, tax / NI and pensions
- Posting other monthly journals including recharges, Barclaycard spend, till transactions and cashbook
- Maintain effective communication with Finance colleagues, and colleagues throughout the organization, to ensure an excellent and consistent Finance service provision.
Person Specification:
- Commenced / intending to commence study towards a Professional accountancy qualification (ACCA / CIMA / CIPFA / ACA)
- Experience of liaising with non-Finance managers regarding performance reporting
- Commercial acumen : ability to work with non-financial managers to deliver maximum value to the organization
- Technically proficient, with experience in a management accounting role, competent with double entry
- Experience of working with medium / large size organizations, and associated complexity
