Job Description

Our client, a household brand name and sought-after employer of choice, is looking for a credible and commercially astute Finance Business Partner to join its talented team on an initial 12-month contract. Given the size and evolving nature of the business, a permanent role would be highly likely, should the successful individual prove to be a valued addition.

The role will partner with the Supply Chain and Logistics team and whilst candidates don\'t need experience in this particular area, you must have strong examples to date of partnering with a fast-paced function, providing insight, analysis and commentary to stakeholders, in order to drive and shape decision making.

Main duties include:

• Interpret management reporting to provide insight, analysis and commentary to stakeholders and provide challenge to the business
• Identify strategic and operational risks and opportunities
• Building external perspective and use outputs to engage and influence the business
• Completing ad hoc/bespoke analysis for the business area as required to drive improvements
• Work with the business to manage forecasting, budgeting etc.
• Building strategic business cases and support post implementation reviews
• Supporting ad hoc projects
• Supporting and challenging the business to manage strategic projects and initiatives

Key skills & experience required:

• Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA
• Proven experience of analysing and interpreting data to identify opportunities and actively participate in the operational decision making process
• Effective presentational skills, both verbal and written with strong attention to detail
• Curiosity beyond traditional finance boundaries and ability to understand key business drivers
• Ability to effectively communicate and challenge senior stakeholders, including audiences of varying financial and commercial acumen to manage financial performance
• Self-motivated team player, able to work autonomously, build and utilise a broader cross-functional network
• Ability to prioritise workload whilst managing business and finance stakeholder expectations in a fast paced, ever changing environment
• Strong commercial acumen with a focus on driving excellent financial and commercial performance
• Proven ability and desire to deliver change
