EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

Reporting to the Head of Finance - This newly created role has come about due to the significant increase in our capital investment programme. As a Business Partner, you will have ownership of the construction, monitoring and reporting of programme finances, including financial forecasts, budgets and output targets and will provide accurate, timely and insightful financial information throughout the programme life to enable timely and necessary interventions and to articulate and outline opportunities both within the programme and across Severn Trent.

You will represent the programme finances at senior level meetings as well as providing and presenting materials at approval boards and Capital Committee as required. The programme is expected to expand rapidly, and you will need to be comfortable taking risk-based decisions that allow speedy progress but that also ensure we are operating within our overall cost envelope and to our overall commitments and objectives. Detailed follow-up and review will also be required in parallel. You will work closely with your peers within finance and across the business and will usually be expected to take the lead on capital matters.

As a fully qualified accounting professional, we\'ll be looking for you to bring a wealth of business partnering experience. You\'ll need a well-structured & clear manner when dealing with senior stakeholders and bring portfolio level progress and insight, highlighting any alignment concerns and wider programme risks and opportunities.

The ideal candidate will ideally have an established network at Severn Trent or a background in similar capital environment.
