The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our friendly Caice Finance Team. We're looking for a team player who can support our team's collective effort in streamlining and improving processes, as well as getting stuck into the day-to-day.
Any prior work for a Construction company would be advantageous and good knowledge of Sage software is essential.
This is a part-time role, ideally 20 hours over 5 days. However, we're flexible for the right person.
General Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records, invoices and transactions
Daily bank receipts/payments and bank reconciliations
Expenses: verifying, entering in Sage, setting up payments and credit card reconciliation
Preparing and posting journals forthe month end accruals and prepayments and maintaining the fixed asset register
Weekly payroll - this can be taught if not done previously
Support the Credit Control process
Reviewing the Supplier, Debtor and nominal ledger for omissions, errors and unexpected variances
Management of Petty Cash
Verifying and importing purchase invoices into Sage
Provide holiday cover for the Management Accountant, Accounts Clerk and Credit Controller
Posting recurring journals and payments
Ensuring customer details in Sage are correct as well as setting up new customers and/or suppliers
Assist in the implementation of new processes, providing feedback as appropriate to ensure the new process can be refined into a stable working system
What we're looking for:
Demonstrable bookkeeping experience
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills with the ability to look beyond the numbers and analyse variances
Good knowledge of Sage Line 50 is essential
The ability to self-manage your time, keep to deadlines and punctuality are a must
Someone with a good work ethic, great communication skills and a willingness to learn
