Harris Hill is seeking an interim Finance Assistant to support an Arts based charity on a full time temporary basis.
The role is hybrid based (3dpw in office) and will require an immediate start. The role is for 2-3 months, covering permanent recruitment period.
Duties will include the following:
Financial Controls and business Support
Working with Finance Manager to prepare accruals and prepayment schedules
Take responsibility for a range of Balance Sheet reconciliations
Bank reconciliation and Cash Management
Take responsibility for the processing of bank transactions across multiple accounts and the preparation of regular bank reconciliations
Petty cash responsibility
Purchase ledger
Maintain the purchase ledgers for the two trading entities including
Processing purchase invoices (mainly automated)
Preparing payment runs in line with agreed creditor terms,
Liaising with suppliers re queries,
Reconciling supplier statements
Oversee the reconciliation of departmental business credit card expenditure
General
Assume responsibility for maintaining our archiving function, journals, any other required items
Assist with producing support and other documentation required by funders, auditors and other third parties
Undertake departmental projects as required
Undertake any other reasonable duties, so as to ensure the smooth running of the Finance department and the charity.
