Job Description
This is a fantastic opportunity for Finance professionals to join an exciting industry. You will be covering many duties as the main Finance Assistant for an experienced team of finance.
The candidate\'s responsibilities include:
- Overseeing all Ledger accounts. Mix of Supermarkets, large multiples and small retailers
- Posting Payments
- Challenging Debit Note deductions made by Customers via email and telephone.
- Liaising with other members of staff and account manager with reference to deductions
- Maintaining spreadsheet(s) to control deductions with outcomes achieved
- Daily invoice run
- Chasing queries with other members of the team
- Month-end Statement run and production of schedule of accounts overdue/on stop
- Knowledge of Self-Billing would be an advantage
- Coding and posting invoices to P/L
- Weekly/Monthly payment runs and posting to Bank and P/L.
- Ability to work with Multi Currency accounts. USD & EUR
- Supplier Statement reconciliations
- Liaise with suppliers regarding invoice queries
- Daily update of Banking spreadsheet
- Input of payments for authorisation
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Experience with SAP B1 would be an advantage but not essential
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office in particular Excel.
- Good communication skills
