\xe2\x80\x8bWe are working in partnership with the Pontesbury Project, who provide homes and support to adults with learning difficulties. It began with five residents in a home but as needs and legislation changed, it has evolved. It remains true to its original vision which is to provide caring, fulfilling, meaningful and nurturing environment for those with learning difficulties. The Project now cares for around 17, has 13 properties, and employs 60 staff who provide high quality, specialist support to individuals some of whom have severe learning disabilities and challenging behaviours, many of whom require 1-to-1 support.
They are now looking for a new Finance and Business Manager who will be responsible for all financial matters, including the property portfolio and the vehicle fleet - working in close co-operation with the Registered Manager/Responsible Individual. This interesting and varied post has arisen because there has been a head office reorganisation.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following:
Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) desired but part qualified will also be considered.
Evidenced experience at a senior level, preferably in charity and/or not-for-profit settings.
Wide and extensive experience of financial management, budget management and strategic planning.
Experience of operating as an effective member of a senior management and corporate decision-making team.
Experienced in charity law and reporting, charity governance and charity accounting regulations.
IT competency with all Microsoft packages.
We are seeking a proven people leader able to influence, inspire, collaborate, and motivate. Being self-motivated, committed, flexible and approachable, with the ability to engage a variety of stakeholders and present complex information to different audiences will be essential.As a member of the leadership team, you will contribute to the strategic direction of the Project and will be expected to fully embrace the core values, expectations and community that is Pontesbury Project in a hands-on, accessible manner.
