Job Purpose
The Finance Administrator will join and be part of a team of three who support the Senior Management Team through the accurate and timely processing of sales and purchase ledger, issuing purchase orders, processing monthly payroll, updating monthly reports, undertaking bank reconciliations and credit control.
Duties
Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers and journals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
Prepare financial reports, statements, and forecasts to support decision-making processes.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and monitor expenditures against budgetary allocations.
Process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely manner while maintaining accurate records of transactions.
Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders regarding financial queries and reporting requirements.
Conduct regular audits of financial documents to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Support the implementation of financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency within the finance department.
Requirements
5 GCSE's or equivalent at pass level including Math's and English
At least 1 years' experience working in a fast pace dynamic finance team
Minimum of 2 years' experience in Administration.
Excellent MS Office skills including Excel and Word.
Experience using Management Information and ERP systems, with an interest in learning new technologies
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
A relevant qualification in finance or accounting is advantageous but not essential.
Desirable Criteria
Studying towards an Accounting Qualification or P/T qualified Accountant
Experience of end to end payroll processing
Experience working with Opera accounts system or Accura MIS
