Finance Administrator - Part Time

Cargo Logistics is an independent Freight Forwarder specialising in ambient and refrigerated European Road Freight services. Established in 1994, Cargo provides expert solutions for a wide client base through a team of dedicated specialists.

The role

We are recruiting for an Accounts Administrator to join our team on a part time basis. The successful candidate will process all invoices received and reconcile supplier statements, ensuring an accurate purchase ledger is kept up to date. The candidate must have strong communication and organisational skills and be confident with having direct conversations regarding payments.

Job duties

Process all invoices received and allocate to correct nominal codes and company accounts. Reconcile supplier statements while responding to and managing supplier queries promptly and professionally. Match invoices with purchase orders and delivery notes to verify the accuracy of billing and pricing. Ensure the purchase ledger is up to date and accurate at all times. Check all transactions in foreign currencies are matched, with exchange rate gains and losses being booked correctly. Support sales ledger where required. Carry out credit control with customers maintaining accurate records. Other duties across the business as and when required.

About you

Purchase ledger or accounts payable experience. Full understanding of the accounts payable process and procedures. Exceptional attention to detail and data entry skills. Ability to self-manage and prioritise workload. Experience of accounting software packages. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Spanish or Italian is a desirable skill but not essential.
