About the role:
The main purpose of this role is to provide technical support for Seeing Machines' products, primarily in a field environment. In doing so, the Field Service Installation Engineer will be responsible for:
Installation of Driver Monitoring products to a range of commercial vehicles
Training of customer and sub-contracted installers in accordance with the Seeing Machine's training processes and procedures
Configuration and field testing of products
After sales technical support including fault finding, warranty and maintenance support
Provide advice and assistance to the Operations Team in the conduct of technical training
Assist Customer Operations Manager to schedule installations in accordance with operational requirements
Key responsibilities of the role:
Installing Seeing Machines' products into client vehicles, often in remote locations and after hours.
Providing accurate written reports pre and post installation
Supervising, training and advising contracted installers and technicians
Technical support and fault diagnosis on installed systems
Remote fault detection and remediation
Contribute to development and maintenance of written technical problems
Coordinating individual travel arrangements
The role will be focused on the UK territory, with occasional working in other countries within the EMEA Regions.
Educational & Professional Qualifications:
Electrical or auto electrical trade qualification
Prior vehicle installation experience, preferably within the Commercial Vehicle sector
Demonstrated technical and fault-finding skills
Excellent customer service and support skills, with proven customer-facing experience
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Proficiency in the MS Office suite of products
Practical understanding of IOT devices and networking technology
Full Driving License
Valid passport
With a strong presence in the Midlands and North of England, applicants located in this region are invited.
Note: This role requires flexibility to travel at short notice and operate in remote
locations and for long hours. Applicants must be prepared to be
drug and alcohol tested prior to attending customers' sites and
comply with any other customer site access conditions.
