Field Service Engineer / Assembly Fitter

to join their skilled team.

This is an exciting, hands-on role that combines workshop-based assembly with field-based service, inspection, and installation work. You'll be working with industry-leading machinery, supporting customers across the UK and Ireland.

What You'll Be Doing:

Assembly & Fitting (Workshop-Based)

Assemble mechanical components and systems using both manual and power tools. Accurately interpret and work from engineering drawings and technical instructions. Ensure safe handling and movement of machinery parts throughout the production process. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in assembly procedures.

Field Service (Customer Site Visits)

Carry out machine inspections, servicing, installations, and commissioning on-site. Deliver a professional, courteous, and knowledgeable presence when dealing with customers. Travel using a fully equipped, company-supplied service van.

About You:

Proven experience in mechanical fitting, service engineering, or a similar hands-on engineering role. Strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to read engineering drawings. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, can-do attitude. Willingness to travel and work away from home when required.

Working Hours:

Monday to Thursday:

7:30 am - 5:30 pm (38 hours per week)

Additional Hours:

Overtime available and paid at agreed enhanced rates.
