Job Description

As the Field Service Engineer you will be responsible for booking and attending appointments to repair, service and maintain powered wheelchairs both in our dedicated workshop and out in the field for service users throughout the UK & Ireland. This includes visiting clients in the community, care homes, schools and hospitals.

The role would also include attending exhibitions including help with set up and breakdown of our stand. You will also be responsible for managing your own diary and administration, being organised and self motivated is a must.

The ideal candidate will have experience of having carried out powered wheelchair servicing, repairs and seating adjustments or currently be in a similar role. Experience in the programming and diagnostics of powerchair controls would also be advantageous. Full training on the role and products will be offered.

Your Main Duties and Responsibilities Will Include



Undertake engineering work in terms of service and repairs to ensure client's manual and powered wheelchairs function correctly. Complete PDI (pre-delivery inspection) of client's goods. Organise & maintain own work calendar. R-Net Programming & diagnostics of control systems. Report weekly on workload & any issues. Order parts & consumables as required. Maintaining & reviewing of stock levels. Process all associated paperwork fully and accurately daily. Communicate effectively with all clients at all times. Maintain a high standard of customer care, being sensitive to the unique needs of the client. Product / supplier training as required (this may include overseas trips). Attending, set up and breakdown for exhibitions. Ad hoc duties as required.

To Be Considered for This Position, You Must Have



A full driving licence - preferably clean. Good written communication skills. Have a working understanding of Excel, Word, Outlooks, WhatsApp, Teams Can organise own itinerary to manage and prioritise workload, including book client appointments. Proven understanding of mechanical or electrical engineering, experience of working with in workshop, safe use of hand tools and power tools. You must be seif-motivated, organised, proactive and efficient. A flexible approach to your work.
