We are looking for a Support Worker to join our service based in Waltham Abbey on a permanent, part time basis (30 hours a week). Shifts will be spread across mornings, afternoons, evenings and sleep ins, weekends and bank holidays.
You will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of \xc2\xa361.20 for any sleep in shifts carried out. The payment for sleep ins is non-contractual.
About our Service
Shift patterns are for this role will be: 07:00 - 14:30; 14:30 - 22:00and Sleep in 22:00 - 07:00. You will need to be flexible and willing to work additional sleep ins to cover colleague\'s annual leave. You may be asked to cover shifts in various services, but you will be based in Waltham Abbey. Being a driver is not a requirement, but would be beneficial.
Do you want to make a positive difference to people\'s lives? At this Service you will be supporting one lady in her own home. She is a joyful lady who always has a smile on her face. She loves to have a little dance or sit and listen to music. You would be supporting her with all her daily needs such as cooking, cleaning, and going out in the community to do the activities she enjoys, such as getting her nails done or doing her shopping.
You will be working with a small team who have known her for years and are therefore very experienced.
The role of a Support Worker can be challenging at times, so it is essential to have a positive mind-set with a desire to improve the lives of those with a learning disability. You will need to be quick thinking with a positive can-do attitude.
