Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to provide essential support to an individual in need of assistance. The ideal candidate will have experience in nursing homes, or home care settings. This role involves a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring the comfort and well-being of our client. Our client is looking for 1 hour a day for AM support Monday-Saturday.

Duties

Provide personal care services including support when needed with bathing, dressing, and grooming for our client. Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for client when needed. Support clients with mobility and physical activities, including ensuring the home is clean and supporting with household cleaning tasks. Engage in companionship activities to promote emotional well-being. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients in assisted living or home care settings. Document care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions to the appropriate personnel.

Requirements

Previous experience in nursing homes or senior care is highly desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others. Flexibility to work various shifts as required by client needs.

Due to the nature of support required our client is keen to recruit a Support Worker who is relatively close in age, and in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010 there is a Genuine Occupational Requirement for a female worker to work with our client.*

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 13.00-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 6 per week
