Job Summary
IWM Duxford hosts two of the biggest Air Shows in the UK in June and September, and several smaller flying events throughout the year from May to October. IWM is one of the world's leading authorities on conflict and its impact on people's lives - from 1914 through to the present day and beyond. Our Air Shows and flying events are a vital part of this, as well as generating income for Duxford and our other four branches.
As the public face of our Air Shows you'll be the first point of contact for our Air Show visitors, you'll offer a warm, friendly welcome, and scan their tickets with a high level of professionalism. You'll also be able to help the customer with any queries and have excellent communication skills.

The Retail & Admissionsdepartment at IWM Duxford is passionate about delivering an amazing customer service experience. We are looking for people with a professional and outgoing manner to join our team on Airshow and Event days (mainly weekends) to help us deliver this experience to our visitors.
The role of a Fee Paid Casual Air Show Admissions Assistant, as part of the Retail and Admissions team, is to accurately check and scan tickets for Air Show visitors, ensuring that visitors have the correct and valid ticket for the event (and/or day). They may also be asked to help on merchandise redemption; an area that exchanges pre-purchased tickets for products.
Being a member of the front-line staff and representing the IWM brand, it is essential that all Fee Paid Casual Air Show Admissions Assistant are polite and friendly towards visitors at all times and able to demonstrate good customer care skills.
